LOST TO CUTANEOUS LYMPHOMA!
Harley was our 10 1/2 year old golden boy. He had many important roles in our home such as head puppy socializer, chief negotiator and biggest lap dog.
Harley was bred by an uneducated "Backyard Breeder" and at 7 months of age was diagnosed with SEVERE hip displaysia, OCD of the shoulder, and elbow displaysia. We opted to try supplemental therapy instead of surgery and Harley supplemental therapy instead of surgery and Harley did wonderfully for the next 10 years. He received 500 mg of Vitamin C and an Ostea-Biflex pill twice a day and was able to run and play as though there weren't was able to run and play as though there weren't a thing in the world wrong with him.
Harley LOVED puppies and he truly enjoyed the lip, ear, and tail pulling they
subjectdd him to.
Harley was also an experienced negotiator!! He was often seen circling the rooms of our home with a prized piece of clothing or toy in his mouth. He traded ONLY for treats!
Harley was given a prognosis of one week after his diagnosis....He made it 4 weeks and NEVER knew he was ill.
He was sure to be here for Thanksgiving to enjoy ALL the treats and we are comforted by the fact that we were able to help Harley to the "Bridge" before he suffered!
We know he will be waiting for us with his tail wagging and our shoes in his mouth!
RIP OLD MAN.....WE LOVE YOU!
